It is estimated that there are over 200,000 foreign educated nurses currently working in the United States. In 2007, there were 33,768 international nurses taking the NCLEX for the first time. It is the goal of the AAFEN to act as a resouce for these current and future nurses as they seek to pursue their careers.

As the Association grows, and this web site is developed, we shall provide information on jobs, provide assistance and offer advice as needed. For those who are considering emmigrating to the US, we will provide information on the requirements for working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the US, and offer helpful hints to make the transition less traumatic.

Check back with this web site from time to time to see how we can be of service to you!
